From the beginning the areas of Corporate Law, Intellectual Property, Banking, insurance and reinsurance and International Commercial Law, have always been the strongest practice areas. Dr. Francisco Jose Barrientos, participates in more than twenty local and international companies, as legal counsel and/or member of their board of Directors. Dr. Barrientos has work as Professor of Commercial Law and Banking, The Faculty of Economics, and also was the faculty's Dean for eleven years at Universidad Dr. Jose Matias Delgado, one of the top Universities in the country. In addition, he work for eighteen years as General Counsel and Director of Banco Cuscatlan of El Salvador, also in the 80's he introduces in the country the legal figure of a trust and the automated teller machines (ATM's). Dr. Barrientos is an expert on Internet law, signs and electronic commerce.

The firm also has a considerable number of bilingual young lawyers and legal assistants. 

Both Dr. Francisco Jose Barrientos and his Associates Lawyers have been assinting the World Bank and the IFC every year since 2007, as local partners, and fulfilling al the information needed for every year Doing Business, published by the world bank, including the "Execution of Contracts" and "Building permits in El Salvador" questionnaries. The firm is involved in the introduction of corporate governance of companies and Dr. Barrientos is one of the founders of the Institute of Corporate Governance in El Salvador, an initiative of the Stock Exchange Stock entity.
